Helena is the past-President of Redtransfer, the Spanish association for knowledge exchange professionals, having served in this role from 2020 to 2024.
She was previously a member of ASTP’s National Associations Advisory Committee (NAAC) and a board member of the global Alliance of Technology Transfer Professionals (ATTP).
Helena has also served on the Board of the Catalan Network of Science Parks (XPCAT) and the Spanish Association of University Technology Transfer Offices (redOTRI).
At the University of Girona, she has held several senior positions, including Technical Director of the Science and Technology Park and Director of the Research and Technology Transfer Office.
Helena holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. She has been a professor and researcher at the University of Girona.
Her professional work has focused on fostering collaboration between academia and industry as a means to drive business competitiveness and regional development.
