She is and was member of several technology transfer expert groups in Europe and was engaged as innovation expert for several EU projects.
The Transfer Centre, established by Sara and her team makes the university's knowledge available to society and the economy. On the one hand, impulses from society and business are taken up and utilised for research, teaching and university cooperation, and on the other hand various services are offered for academics and students when they want to put their research results into practice or need partners for the next steps towards market. A focus is on supporting (potential) founders of spin offs and enhancing the entrepreneurial mindset of university employees and students, but also new formats to enable more exchange amongst scientists of various faculties with each other and external stakeholders are strongly pursued and supported.
Sara is passionate about connecting people, supporting entrepreneurial researchers and helping various stakeholders to make use of the full potential of a comprehensive university.
