Melissa has over ten years' experience in the areas of innovation and commercialisation and is an Investment Manager with Uniseed. Melissa is known for providing pragmatic commercial advice focusing on technology performance, aligning intellectual property assets with commercial strategy, and implementing systems to build value and drive sustainable growth.
Receiving the RTTP credential in 2019, Melissa has been a member of the ATTP Review Panel since April 2020 and is committed to promoting and maintaining global standards in knowledge and technology transfer. Melissa’s strengths lie in establishing strong relationships with industry, research and government partners, delivering leading technology innovations to the market and achieving successful commercial outcomes.
Melissa is a registered Australian Patent and Trade Marks Attorney and is one of a handful of Australian lawyers to be accredited under the US-based Certified Licensing Professional scheme. Her qualifications include a BSc (Hons), a PhD (Genetics), a LLB (Hons) and a Masters of Intellectual Property Law.
