In February, ASTP proudly launched the EDI Toolkit, a valuable resource designed to support equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in knowledge and technology transfer. Since then, the EDI Special Interest Group (SIG) has been actively raising awareness of the toolkit and the critical role of EDI in building more inclusive and effective knowledge transfer ecosystems.
During the ASTP Annual Meeting in Vilnius, Anji Miller shared exciting updates from the EDI SIG at the Knowledge Stock Exchange. Plans for the coming year include a series of EDI-focused webinars and the development of a dedicated knowledge exchange platform. The presentation was well received: the European knowledge exchange ecosystem is still young, with many practitioners still searching for a way to ensure EDI is effectively incorporated alongside best practice at the organisational level.
At the Dutch KTO Masterclass in Eindhoven, I hosted a session on EDI in knowledge transfer, underscoring the importance of inclusive practices and introducing participants to the EDI Toolkit. It was a very interactive and engaging session, where it became apparent that there is room for improvement when it comes to integrating EDI into Dutch KTO's strategy and mission.
If you’re organising a local KTO event and would like to include an EDI-focused session, the EDI SIG would be happy to collaborate. Reach out to schedule a presentation or learn more edisig@astp4kt.eu.
