ASTP is pleased to announce the launch of a new Special Interest Group (SIG): AI4KT - AI Solutions for Knowledge Transfer.
What is AI4KT?
The AI4KT SIG is a practical, results-driven working group dedicated to enhancing knowledge transfer (KT) processes through the strategic and effective use of artificial intelligence. Their mission is to move beyond discussion into real-world impact by sharing tools, standards, and strategies that will shape the future of the field.
Who is it for?
This SIG is designed for Public Research Organisations (PROs) staff who are:
- Actively implementing or experimenting with AI tools in daily KT activities and ready to exchange ideas, hacks, and lessons learned
- Involved in developing and implementing AI strategies, policies or infrastructures within their institutions
- Looking for collaboration, peer exchange, and structured support — and ready to engage beyond passive updates
Key objectives
Together, the group will:
- Scout, test, and evaluate AI tools relevant to KT
- Share best practices: models, datasets, and LLM prompts
- Develop guidelines and frameworks for implementation and assessment
- Identify collaboration and EU funding opportunities
- Support capacity-building through training and shared resources
This SIG is your opportunity to future-proof your KT operations through structured, community-led action.
Get involved!
To kick off this new initiative, we are inviting all ASTP members to contribute to the group’s initial agenda via the Call for Topics Survey, open until Friday, 5 September 2025.
If you are not yet a member of the AI4KT SIG but are interested in joining, you can learn more here or contact Arlyta at arlyta.wibowo-kruzinga@astp4kt.eu.
