Katleen is legal counsel at the Tech Transfer Office of KU Leuven, KU Leuven Research & Development.
She is responsible for the development and implementation of KU Leuven’s policy on export control and knowledge security. She has extensive experience in negotiating research contracts and advising on export control, data protection, state aid, the Nagoya protocol, and other regulations impacting research.
Before joining KU Leuven Research & Development in 2013, Katleen worked as a PhD researcher and postdoc at the KU Leuven Centre for IT & IP law, dealing with legal issues relating to open data, access to information, and data protection.
