As a Start up & Portfolio Manager at Max Planck Innovation GmbH (MI), the technology transfer organization of Max Planck Society, Florian supports entrepreneurial projects and teams from Max Planck Institutes during the pre foundation phase and spin offs after the foundation until an exit. He is also involved in negotiating license and financing contacts with spin offs. I addition Florian represents Max Planck in several company boards as a board member or observer.

Prior to MI, he advised companies from the automotive industry as a strategy and growth consultant, served as an Assistant Professor for Entrepreneurship and Strategic Management at Toulouse Business School, France, worked at the financial department of Ford Motor Company and co-founded two companies. He holds a diploma in Business Administration from the University of Regensburg, a MBA from Murray State University and a doctoral degree
