Since 2017, Sandra has been a KT Officer of CIBIO, Research Center in Biodiversity and Genetic Resources, a research unit associated to the University of Porto, Portugal.
She holds a degree in Microbiology and Genetics from the University of Lisbon (1997) and a PhD in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Paris XI University (2001) and a degree in IP Management from IEEPI / University of Strasbourg (2010).
After several years as a researcher both in academia and a biotechnology company, she started a career in KT in 2007, at the Technology Transfer Department of Institut de Recherche pour le Développement, France, where she was responsible for the strategic management and commercialization of IPR.
