Raluca Flükiger was first a professional editor on the scientific journal Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology, before joining the technology transfer office of the University of Geneva (Unitec) in 2002 as a licensing officer. In parallel with her main professional activities, she was also a biochemistry lecturer at the University of Geneva and a scientific advisor for Sectoral Asset Management, an asset management firm specialized in healthcare.
Raluca is a certified licensing professional (CLPTM), and her current activity at Unitec entails commercial and legal evaluation of inventions and the negotiation of license and research contracts in the life sciences field. She regularly teaches on topics relating to academic technology transfer and intellectual property, and is involved in various programmes providing support and coaching to aspiring Swiss academic entrepreneurs.
