As Head of the Technology Transfer Office at the Science and Technology Park of Palacký University Olomouc (UP) Petr is mostly focused on finding and developing new and market-oriented products from the scientific outputs of UP, and in linking them with commercial partners. During hi time at UP, Petr has over 500 business plans and 100 proof-of-concept projects.
Specialised in technology transfer and innovation development, he has experience from industry and science, which he feels, gives him a significant advantage in this field. He gained a great deal of experience as the owner and CEO of a telecommunications start-up (exit to Czech telecom O2) and is familiar with the world of science and education. As a PhD student at Ecole Centrale Paris in France, a post-doc in the Slovak Academy of Sciences in Bratislava, and an associate professor at VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava, he is also a Certified Manager of Creativity and Innovation (MCI), Project manager in PRINCE2, PRINCE2 Agile and Scrum).
He completed his studies at the Industrial Property Office in Prague with a Certificate of Specialised Studies in the field of industrial property protection and he is proud to be recognised by ATTP, the first person in the Czech Republic, like Registered Technology Transfer Professional (RTTP).
