Head of Unit, FORTH Technology Transfer Office, NCP for Horizon Europe, Greece
Maria Makridaki is an experienced Technology Transfer Consultant with a demonstrated history of working in innovation management and consulting industry. Maria is the Head of FORTH Technology Transfer Office at PRAXI Network. Her activities involve the coordination of FORTH’s Technology Transfer Office including IPR management, innovation management (certified for both IMP3rove and Innovation Health Check), access to public and private funding, technology audit, market intelligence, exploitation of research results and provision of information and advisory services to all stages of technology transfer. She has coached several research teams on exploiting their research results and assisted in the creation of several spin-offs and is actively involved in the creation and promotion of regional development policies and the implementation of Smart Specialisation Strategies.
Appointed Horizon 2020 National Contact Point for Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology, and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing and an appointed Horizon Europe National Contact Point for ERC and Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions. She coordinated the NCP coordination project “NMP TeAm 4”, the official project of the NCP Network for the H2020 thematic priority NMBP. Maria has worked for Enterprise Europe Network and served as a member of the sector groups Health and BioChemTech.
She holds a degree in Physics from the University of Crete, an MSc in Optics and Vision from the University of Crete and a PhD in Visual Neurosciences from the University of Manchester, UK.
Maria speaks Greek, English, German, French and Italian.
