Guido Paola

IP-portfolio manager - Quantum Delta, Netherlands

In his role at QDNL, Guido is responsible for creating and implementing the IP-strategy at ecosystem national level for quantum technologies

Guido is a European patent attorney with a M.sc in electronics engineering gained at the University of Catania, Italy and a M.sc. in Energy science gained at the University of Utrecht, the Netherlands. Before joining Quantum Delta NL in 2023, Guido has worked as in-house patent counsel and as interim director of the European patent group in Dolby Laboratories in The Netherlands and Ireland. Before that, Guido has also worked in a law firm as patent attorney and more than a decade in various technical roles in the semiconductors industry. 

Guido chairs an IP team whose members represent the partners of the ecosystem. This IP team is part of a larger Quantum Tech Transfer Team (Q3T) whose goal is to accelerate technology transfer in quantum technologies in the Netherlands.
