Dr Gavin Smith has been Director of Lancaster University Business Enterprises Ltd. and Intellectual Property Manager at Lancaster University for ten years. ln these positions he is responsible for all stages of technology and knowledge commercialisation (from invention disclosure and assessment onwards) through to licensing and formation of highetechnology companies. Dr Gavin Smith is active across the enterprise spectrum from student entrepreneurship to the academic “impact” agenda and engaging external organisations. Previously he worked in the software industry for over 15 years and holds a PhD from Cambridge University.
