The SHAPE SIG (Social sciences, Humanities, and Arts for People and Economy) focuses on valorising research in the social sciences, humanities, and arts. As universities and research institutions increasingly explore knowledge transfer and impact in these fields, the SIG provides a dedicated forum to exchange expertise, share best practice, and highlight innovative pathways for valorisation.

Since 2015, the group has been at the forefront of researching, developing, and recording approaches that help sustain and scale the impact of SHAPE research. Its members bring together unrivalled knowledge and experience across Europe, supporting peers in translating SHAPE research into meaningful societal and economic benefits.

A key activity of the group is the SHAPE Spotlight, a 30-minute webinar hosted on the first Wednesday of each month at 13:00 CET/CEST. This regular event showcases practical tools, case studies, and insights from SHAPE practitioners and impact experts, providing a platform for discussion and inspiration across the ASTP community and beyond.
