Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI)

The EDI SIG provides an open and welcoming forum for all individuals, regardless of identity, role, or level of experience in knowledge transfer. Everyone is valued, and all contributions are encouraged.

Organisations with a strong culture of equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging (EDI&B) are shown to be more innovative, productive, and positively perceived by their communities. As knowledge transfer professionals play a central role in translating academic innovation into societal impact, embedding EDI principles into practice strengthens both outcomes and engagement.

This SIG enables members to share experiences, explore EDI initiatives, and learn how to apply an EDI lens to knowledge transfer and technology transfer best practice. Through open discussions, online meetings, and collaborative activities, members are invited to shape new initiatives and contribute to enhancing KT/TT codes of practice.

The ASTP EDI Toolkit is available to support not only SIG members but the wider community with practical guidance and resources to foster inclusive practices across KT/TT.
