Peter joined Maynooth University’s TTO, MaynoothWorks, in 2013 to focus on the broad area of information and communications technologies working from invention disclosure through to spin-off or licence on all projects.
Peter joined Maynooth University’s TTO, MaynoothWorks, in 2013 to focus on the broad area of information and communications technologies working from invention disclosure through to spin-off or licence on all projects. Peter is responsible for industry collaborations, contracts and negotiation of licensing opportunities. He plays a key part in fostering the development of high-tech spin-out companies from Maynooth University by supporting business plan and product roadmap development, by advising on how licensed intellectual property can have maximum strategic impact and by supporting companies through their various funding rounds.
Peter provides TT supports to a MaynoothWorks TT/KT services consortium with involving 3 other institutions in Ireland. Prior to MaynoothWorks Peter worked as Technology Transfer Project Manager at University College Dublin. Peter has worked in various product development and management roles with Agilent Technologies after it acquired MV Technology, a successful Irish start-up company, in 2001.
Peter graduated with BEng in Electronic Systems from University of Ulster, and has an LLM in Intellectual Property Law and Management from the University to Strasbourg. He is a chartered engineer (CEng MIEI), a registered technology transfer professions (RTTP) and a lapsed software engineer
